The bark is light brown and the leaves are intensive green with a very rough surface on the upper side, which feels almost like sandpaper when touched. The flowers are yellow, star-shaped and appear in October and November. It seems that only the new annual shoots bear flowers. The fruits are small, orange-brown when ripe and always  single, appearing from January onwards.";
