db[0][10]="A common, small tree up to 5m tall which grows widely distributed on both deep and loamy sands. The leaves are opposite, shiny dark green on the upper side and paler green on the under side, of a hard, leathery texture and 3-veined. The apex has a hard, sharp spine which hurts if carelessly touched. The flowers are small and appear in green whitish clusters from September to October. The fruit has the size and shape of a large orange, with a woody shell turning from green to orange when ripe.
