db[0][10]="A perennial creeper with shoots up to 5m long. It grows on the loamy sands of omurambas and can get an extraordinarily large tuber up to 1,70m in diameter. The leaves are butterfly-shaped, about 12cm wide and 7cm long and blue green in colour. It flowers during November and December in attractive, yellow and sweetly scented clusters before the leaves flush. The fruits are brown, woody pods containing large, dark brown, circular seeds up to 18mm in diameter.";
db[0][11]="<span class=\"bold\">Use:&nbsp;</span>The Punguvlei and Ju\oasi eat the brown seeds. The whole pod is put into hot ash for a short time and removed again. After having cooled down, the pods are opened, the skin of the seed is removed and the seed itself is eaten. It can be stored, but there are problems with insects. The attractive seeds are also used for making necklaces. <br><img src=\"../../images/t.gif\" width=\"1\" height=\"3\">The large tuber is used as a source for water if no fresh water is available. First the skin of the tuber is scraped away and a hole is then made into the tuber. The flesh in and around the hole is mashed with a wooden stick until the consistency is porridge-like. This porridge is put into a piece of fabric and the water is squeezed out with both hands. The water is said to have a slightly sweet taste. The flesh is not eaten because it causes vomiting. As the tuber is sometimes very large, it still contains valuable amounts of water in the dry season and is therefore a reliable source of water.";
